About The Pittsburgh Foundation
The Pittsburgh Foundation works to improve the quality of life in the Pittsburgh region by evaluating and addressing community issues, promoting responsible philanthropy, and connecting donors to the critical needs of the community.
Since 1945, many individuals have invested in their community today and for the future by establishing over 1,000 funds at the Foundation, benefiting a wide variety of nonprofit organizations and community needs.
Voices of Youth is among new initiatives introduced by The Pittsburgh Foundation to make an impact across our community with ‘go-to’ resources for philanthropy in our region.
As part of our mission to develop more interactive, transparent and collaborative relationships with donors, nonprofit organizations and the community at large, the Foundation has also launched PittsburghGives, a year round online directory offering comprehensive profiles of the region’s nonprofit organizations.

About the Grable Foundation
The Grable Foundation was founded in 1976 by Minnie K. Grable, the widow of Errett M. Grable. As longtime residents of Pittsburgh, Mr. and Mrs. Grable supported community and youth organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania and were deeply concerned with the welfare of the Pittsburgh region and all its citizens. The Grable Foundation seeks to help children and youth to become independent, caring, contributing members of society by supporting programs critical to a child’s successful development.
The Grable Community Cabinet
Aiming to consider and review its strategies and practices regularly, The Grable Foundation connects deliberately to respected, ethical leaders whose professional and personal efforts in service to children and families echo those of The Grable Foundation.
